On 6-7 December, Saulius Raudeliūnas, responsible for surgery and sterilisation equipment in the Sales Department at Graina UAB, participated together with a Lithuanian doctor in theoretical and practical trainings on the use of the Limax 120 surgical laser system in oncology procedures.
On the first day of the visit, theoretical training took place at the University Medical Center Freiburg (Germany) on the technical capabilities of the laser Limax 120. Surgeons and other medical personnel and distributors from across Europe and the world participated in the training. The initiator and organiser of all the trainings was the medical technology solution manufacturer KLS Martin and the University of Freiburg. During the theoretical part of the trainings, a metastasectomy using the Limax 120 surgical laser system in a patient's lung was observed in real time at the University Medical Center. The surgical laser system is exceptional in that it is possible to perform both a resection and a hemostasis at the same time. This is the laser system's main advantage.
On the second day of the visit, at the IRCAD centre in Strasbourg (France), the participants had an excellent opportunity in practical training to see what happens in real operations, using the Limax 120 surgical laser system. Participants gained valuable experience and explored the excellent opportunities offered by the Limax 120 surgical laser system.
It is a joy to see the most advanced technologies being used to save lives. We take pride in representing the medical technology solution manufacturer KLS Martin, in its efforts to restore patients to health!
