We represent the manufacturer Tuttnauer and are pleased to be able to provide to our customers equipment for sterilising surgical instruments and medical equipment used in operating theatres (operating rooms). Steam sterilisers of this particular model have been used in Europe for some time, but came to Lithuania not so long ago. The distinctive feature of the equipment is that steam made from demineralised water is supplied to the sterilisation chamber through designated piping. The instruments and equipment being sterilised are heated to a temperature of 134 degrees. After a properly-performed procedure, all operating instruments and equipment are prepared for use.

Such steam sterilisers have been in use for quite a long time, but the course of the sterilisation process itself was improved 15 years ago. The sterilisation process was improved by adding a fractionated vacuum cycle.

In 2012, Graina UAB supplied Klaipėda Seamen's Hospital (Klaipėdos jūrininkų ligoninė) with its first steam steriliser. At present, two sterilisers are in use at the hospital's central sterile processing department.

The potential for using steam sterilisers (autoclaves)

Steam sterilisers comprising the chamber and the piping are made of high-quality, corrosion-resistant stainless steel.

T-Max steam sterilisers are designed for hospitals and large medical institutions in which it is necessary to sterilise instruments and equipment for use in the operating theatre. Steam sterilisers operate at a temperature of 121 °C or 134 °C, using steam. The pressure meets the requirements for ASME and PED certification. To ensure compliance with all requirements, the sterilisation equipment must be certified by an authorised independent institution. Steam sterilisers may be of various chamber volumes, from 175 to 760 litres. T-Max steam sterilisers are made with single or double vertical sliding doors. These steam sterilisers are economical because they automatically switch to standby mode, thus saving resources.
